The GCLL board has been hard at work organizing and preparing for the 2013 season. We are looking forward to an great year. As always please help us spread the word about the league and the events below. We would love to have record setting registration numbers this year.
For this initial post we have a mix of general announcements, registration details, and some key dates to keep in mind as the season approaches.
1.) The GCLL board has voted to add a Pony League division for 13 year old+ boys. The age range and number of teams in this division will be dependent on the level of interest we have during registration.
2.) The GCLL Board has voted in a rule change; Sec IV(A) Kids are allowed to play up 1 age bracket if the parent would like them to do so. Kids are also allowed to play down 1 age bracket if they have no prior experience playing baseball.
7.) DRAFT (7+ year olds in both baseball and softball divisions will attend the Draft)
8.) UNIFORM SIZING

3.) The GCLL Board is in the process of collaborating with the county to rebuild the Bobby Gibson Field House. Some of you may not be aware be we also lost the smaller concession building in the back of the park a few months ago to arson. The loss of our concession buildings last year has been disheartening and may negatively impact the amount of concessions that we can provide to you this season. But, we are looking at all our options and will try to make sure you have cold beverages on those hot summer days. We will post more about this at a later time.

5.) ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! We have a new registration site available for you this year. We hope that you find it easy to sign up online but if you would prefer we will have several live registration events this year. (see below for more details on live registration events).

- January 19th, 2013 at the Grant County Public Library from 2pm-5pm
- January 26th, 2013 at the Grant County Extension Office from 10am-2pm
